Close-up of handwoven khadi fabric showing natural slubs and irregular weave

Heritage line

Khadi.
The original cloth.

Khadi is handspun cotton — spun by hand on a charkha wheel, then woven by hand on a loom. It is one of the oldest textile traditions in India. Gandhi used it as a symbol of economic independence. We use it because nothing else feels like it.

Each metre of our khadi passes through human hands many hundreds of times before it becomes cloth. The weavers we source from sit in small clusters in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra — places where handloom weaving has been passed down through generations.

Our khadi is mid-weight (130–150 GSM). It breathes fully in summer, softens with every wash, and becomes a different — better — fabric after six months of wear.

Khadi wrinkles. The slubs in the weave are irregular. The colour may vary slightly between dye lots. These are not problems — they are evidence that the cloth was made by hand, not by machine.

Essentials line

Linen.
Cool, durable, honest.

Linen is woven from flax — a plant that grows with minimal water and no pesticides when farmed well. It is one of the strongest natural fibres, and one of the oldest. Linen fragments have been found in Egyptian tombs from 3000 BCE.

We source 100% pure linen and cotton-linen blends from Indian and European mills with traceable supply chains. Our garment-grade linen runs between 130–160 GSM — substantial enough to drape well, light enough for Indian summers.

Linen is cool against the skin, moisture-wicking, and anti-bacterial. It is also the honest answer to the question "what do I wear in a Mumbai July?" — the answer being: cloth that breathes.

Linen wrinkles more than khadi. It will crease when you sit, fold when you move, and look beautifully lived-in by evening. We think this is correct. If you need a shirt that looks pressed at 7pm, we are not the right brand.

Why only two

Focus is our moat.

We will not add denim, knitwear, athleisure, sneakers, or a lifestyle home collection. Not because we could not. Because we chose not to.

The industry rewards breadth. We are betting on depth. Knowing two fabrics completely — their suppliers, their behaviour, their care — is worth more than knowing twelve fabrics superficially.

Every piece we make is made from one of these two fabrics. Nothing else enters the building.
